GPs enrolled in the RACGP QI&CPD program must undertake a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course during each triennium to meet the program’s requirements.
This activity focuses on the steps required to perform basic CPR including assessing the situation, airway management, rescue breathing, chest compressions and compression ventilation ratio.
During the session, participants will learn the theory behind CPR while practising techniques in hands-on case scenarios. This course is based on the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and is delivered by highly trained intensive care paramedics with current and valid CPR trainer certificates that comply with the policies of the Australian Resuscitation Council. CPR 123 personal learning kits will be used during the workshop and to enable participants to practise and reinforce the life saving skill of CPR beyond the session.
Please note the cost for attending the CPR workshop is included as part of your registration fees, however each participant must purchase a CPR 123 personal learning kit for an additional $50.
You can register for these CPR workshops when registering for the conference through the GP16 registration site.
CPR workshops will be held in rooms 1, 2 and 3 of Bellevue 1, Level 3, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
