“Meandering around the exhibition hall is the best way to keep up to date with new developments and products for our practices,” says Dr Melanie Considine about the exhibition at the annual conference. “It’s a great way to network and catch up with colleagues.” Dr Considine encourages everyone to attend the exhibition at GP16 and says “I know it will help improve my knowledge of current issues and practices in the world of Australian general practice.”

Dr Claudio Villella had a fantastic response to headspace at GP15 and looks forward to building on this at GP16. “The exhibition provides delegates with a great opportunity to talk in depth with a broad range of GPs and others about the services and model of care that is provided to young people by headspace.” Dr Villella says the exhibition provides a welcome opportunity to engage with GPs and to share more about the future development of headspace and its services. Dr Villella is GP advisor for the national youth mental health foundation, headspace and works in collaboration with the RACGP to deliver training on youth mental health.

“The latest technologies and ideas are all in one place to pursue at your leisure,” says Associate Professor Brad Murphy about the exhibition at GP16. “There are even a few goodies to take home to the practice!” While the conference provides vital networking and educational opportunities, to some delegates the must-see exhibition is a hive of activity. It’s about meeting new people and visiting the many booths showcasing over 110 organisations and their latest products and services for medical professionals.
